Whilst our paths may have diverged somewhat over the years you were one of the most important people to me in the early years of me coming to live in the UK. You helped me find my feet quicker and more easily than I may otherwise have. Coming from the sticks in South Africa my music knowledge was far inferior to yours and I looked up to you because of it. You introduced me to English music and culture and were pivotal in forming my outlook on life. 

I used to love staying over at yours listening to music and playing games and I would always be disappointed when the time came to leave.

Whilst we hadn't seen each other for a while I would nevertheless sometimes think about the times we used to hang out. It's sad that you have been taken so early and I will reminisce about our times together even more so now.
